The rapid economic development and social exchange created a gap between social groups and generations. Social policy is poised to mitigate this gap and reduce its related social hardship. The European Social Model can be considered as one of the best. In order to arrive to this result, the European Commission has invested not only in financial resources but also in research & innovation; furthermore it has promoted legislation to ensure that the value of inclusivity is embedded in European society. Social policy for aging people represents one of the main pillars of the EU-based social model, which includes not only health and retirement benefits but also the mechanism to ensure that active aging is factored in as one of the biggest global challenges of our times. This book starts with an introduction to the theories on Social policy, and then offers an intercultural comparative analysis of Social policy and Social policy for the aging population adopted in the EU, Russia and Ukraine. The second part of the book is dedicated to specific themes like Economic Growth, Re-education for the Elders, and Digitalization of Healthcare.
